Throughout the year, our Museum hosts Cub, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Activity Day group open houses. These events support our youth in passing off requirements to earn patches, including our unique Museum patch. These programs usually occur during the early Spring, Summer, and Fall. Events are free, but reservations are required.
Mornings at the Museum:
Mornings at the Museum is a summer program for children ages 5-11, accompanied by an adult. The program is held Tuesday- Thursday over the course of 3 weeks in July, with a different theme each week, but the same program each day of that week. Themes are chosen to reflect the Museum’s mission, collecting areas, and current exhibitions (e.g. archaeology, homes around the world, pottery, cultural traditions, etc.) Each session lasts 60-75 minutes. The program is FREE, but reservations are required. Summer 2019
Explore cultural, natural, and art history through the amazing collections of BYU's four campus museums at Museum Camp.
Museum Camp is a day camp for youth ages 13-16 who love museums and are interested in having a behind-the-scenes view into what it's like to work in one. Participants with an interest in museums, museum careers, art, paleontology, anthropology, or biology will especially enjoy this camp. The staff at BYU's museums will help you take your love of museums to the next level. You will even have a chance to curate your own display and show off your work in an exhibit at the end of the week! Here's the BYU Scoop on Museum Camp 2018. Summer 2019
