Museum of Peoples and Cultures

MPC Building

Suitcases won’t be necessary, but passports will be provided at the Museum of Peoples and Cultures’ (MPC) family event on Monday July 13.

“Passports, a cultural discovery day” is an activity designed for the entire family to enjoy. As the MPC creates different stations, families will explore various cultures from around the world without having to leave the neighborhood. Each station will include a brief educational background about the specific culture and a hands-on activity.

Cultures that will be explored include those of the Southwest, Africa, Mesoamerica, and Polynesia. The museums newest exhibit: New Lives: Building Community at Fourmile Ruin will also be featured.

The event is an open house and will run from 4:00 pm. to 7:00 pm., so families will be able to come and go depending on their personal schedules. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
