Bring the Museum of Peoples and Cultures educational experience into any classroom with four anthropology teaching kits offered by the Museum.
The teaching kits are designed to support the required curriculum in Utah public schools and provide hands-on experience for students. Students of all ages will enjoy learning about cultural diversity through artifacts and crafts made by people from different cultures and time periods. Each kit contains real artifacts and objects, replicas, traditional crafts, sample lesson plans and teaching aids, educational videos, audio tapes, and reference books.
Each kit may be checked out for a one-week period. There is a $15 rental fee and a $50 refundable deposit (cash or check only), which is returned after the kit is inventoried upon return. Schedule your reservation early to ensure availability. To reserve a kit or to obtain more information, call (801) 422-0020.
Teaching Kits may be reserved to pick up at a later date. Reservations are made binding upon receipt of a $15.00 rental fee payable in person or by mail. Until that point, the reservation is unconfirmed and the MPC reserves the right to reschedule to another person. If the borrower does not pick up the materials on the agreed date, the MPC reserves the right to reschedule to another person.
